Unusual place for .dll files. Can you find the origin by right-clicking and properties? Also can you list the full filenames of some of them to help us track what they might be associated with? Have you downloaded any .dll files recently?

they all have a the same date: 8/18/2003. and they are all "aplication extension". here's an example of one of the properties
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents
I don't really care if they're there. I just don't want to see them

is there a way to hide them?

Just hiding them is not the answer. That is akin to burying your head in the sand. First we need to know what they are and if they should be there. They probably shouldn't which is why I want to know the name of them, so we can establish if you have an malware issue or not, which would require additional action.

So...the .dll file has a name before the .dll extension. Please give me some of those names of the ones you see in that folder so we can determine if they are ok.

I sought advice from another Admin here and they believe these files are from Mediaface 4.0 Do you use that software application or have recently downloaded it? It may be that you downloaded it to the wrong place or accidentally moved it over to My Documents folder.

I have used it VERY rarely. I am going to uninstall it. I can always put it back if I want. It is bizarre that those were hidden until recently, well here goes.....

If you recently selected the option to hide/unhide certain file types, this would affect .dll's. If you ran the R&R malware removal thread (for example) this could be the case, hence why you are suddenely seeing them.

After you uninstall the application, run a cleaner like CCleaner. Run the Registry cleaner within it too.
