dns socketx.ocx

Hello,
Im having trouble. it has 2 parts:
1. as soon as I Login it takes a long time and then a message appears: the title is DNS (with a msn butterfly logo) it says: Failed to load 'socketsctl' from socketx.ocx. your version of socketx.ocx may be outdated. make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.
2. Another thing is that when I try to shut down it doesn't. I just have to press the power until I turn it off.
It happened after I cleaned and erased a lot of garbage I had.
I've runned xoftspy and spybot, the latter keeps on finding: Munga_Bunga, Fast click, media plex, tagasaurus, zedo and adrevolver. but it doesnt get rid of the problem
I have a dell inspiron 700m. WinXP Pro 2002 SP2. 1.80 Ghz. 1997 mhz, 0.98 Gb Ram.
