I have no idea where Charles got his info from.... I searched the Dell site using the provided model number (which I immediately thought looked a bit odd) and found nothing. I then Googled it and got only 3 hits, one was this thread. But it looks like this is a motherboard part number, not a PC model numder, and it's the mobo in an Inspiron 530/531 tower. And yes, it does have a PCI express video slot. Depending on the tower, you may need to use a low-profile card.

 

is low profile card a smaller card because this computer is slimmer than most and yes I'm using a inspiron 530S

 

Yes , a low profile card is designed to fit in a much smaller form factor case, your machine due to size and psu (powersupply unit ) will need to stick to smaller cards. Most high end video cards require at least 2-PCI slots worth of space usually a little more. There are still decent cards on the market for you but you wont be fitting a 9800gt or 4780 in there, you also lack the extra pcie power connector im guessing most high end cards require to run.

i almost forgot how can i tell what kind of tower i have

 

the height is the same as a normal tower it is just thinner tower plus i think i need a new power supply as i only have a 250W one but i can't seem to find the thin ones on newegg
