Do I need Norton on Vista Business with Defender?

I just got a new Asus N10J which has Vista Business. The Windows Defender is running and did the scan for viruses and found none. I read that Vista was good enough that I don't need to run another antivirus on the machine. Is that true? And if not, should I get rid of the Norton (not loaded yet, but it keeps asking as there is a three month free trial loaded on machine)? Thanks.

Yes, you do need an antivirus. Windows defender is for spyware and popups.

Do you need Norton...no. If you have not already paid for it, which it sounds like you haven't, I'd recommend another Antivirus.

I sure appreciate the answer. I will get rid of the free trial of Norton. You guys have been such a help. Already helped me clean up my wifes MSI Wind and now we can get this one in order before a bug gets ahold of it.http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
