Do Isp's Route Other Users' Traffic Through Your Router Sometimes?

    Assuming you have wifi turned off (as some ISP's use that to offer other customers wifi), do ISP's route other users' traffic through your router (as in the one in your home or business) sometimes?

    I agree, the answer is no. But much depends on your ISP. If Comcast, and one of their customers is in your neighborhood, then they might use your access point to access the internet. But this does NOT mean they are using your bandwidth or gaining access to your local network. At least not until some bad guy figures out how to do that. This is why I will only and always buy my own network gear.
