Ah, but did you know, before there was AOL, there was Q-Link, a C64 telecom service that made oodles of money, thereby funding their next startup, AOL. C64 users were offered a substantial discount to switch over, since they were discontinueing Q-Link, but they seemed to overlook the tiny fact that a C64 had 0 use for their services, and the way they shut Q-Link down pissed most of the users off bigtime.

Funny thing is, Q-Link was very popular. Handled with a little style and tact, they could have converted all these customers easily. Such is history.
