This is totally private, so please tell the truth. You don't have to reply if you don't want to, this is for my own knowledge. Also if you are giong to reply, please dont say like "oh yeah but only if i can't find it anywhere or something like that" Just a simple yes, or no will suffice.

    jarcher I can't handle a title

    tsk,tsk. . .
I am not going to tell one to do it, but I do it
I see no harm in it. . .kinda like other things people do that they wouldn't
let on for various reasons(pride, legallity,etc...)

    like,
"Everyone does it, its a part of groing up."
ya, know( take that as you like)

I share the music I purchase with online "friends"
I buy the rights to those I do buy and I do as I like
and if I hear a song(from a friend" I really like, I go buy it

    remember mix tapes ?
same damn thing only more "high tech"
thats where the ipod comes in( I do not have one myself )
selling is bad, that I do not do

and the whole Metallica vs Napster thing
I do see there point, really
it takes alot of work to loaded(tee hee) with money
    and Napster was making money

    "Yes, I DL Music!!!!"

there is still a fine line of things, and dam'mat
    I will walk it

*And Lars( If your reading this) I will give you $2.35 for that one song I do have. .if it means that much to you. . . .*

    I never pursued downloading music.

I've just heard to much crap about it, and after reading an "off base" article in MG - I found that no "free" music exists legally.

I would look into downloading music, but I don't fully understand what information can be gotten from you when you do dowload something, so for now I'll just stick with the radio.

BTW: Jarcher - I remember when Metallica first came out. I was a huge fan. The underground made them popular. If it hadn't been for kids like me copying tapes and giving them to friends - they would have never gotten as popular as fast as they did. Then, when Cliff Burton died, they gave up their "no videos" policy and released "Cliff' em All". It made tons of money. Then, there was the "One" video and the "commercial" album "Metallica - black".

They are sell-outs. Their music sucks now, and they have made tons of money. At this point, I don't know if I would give Lars the time of day - much less $2.35 for any crap they're putting out now.

    yea they are crap now
I have master of puppets(the song) on my PC, I like it alot :)
    screw 'em
its now all about the money
    the "music" is no more

I've got over £2000 of CD's upstairs - the music industry has ripped me off enough - selling an album on the back of one or two songs and the album turns out to be crap!!!!! :(
Now I listen to all the songs and if I like them I buy the CD - seems fair to me.

Yeah Nitro, that's fair. I always rent a DVD before buying it. And I know what ya mean about getting screwed on albums(cd's) ;)

About that...you can listen to albums at most music stores, to see if you like them before you buy them. Also, most public libraries rent CDs, so you can see if you like it before you buy it. Why download something you know is illegal to download (unless you're using one of the pay as you go services) when you can easily get the same thing legally simply by leaving your computer chair?

Oh. Wait. I just answered my own question, didn't I? "Leaving your computer chair". I get it now. *sigh*
