Can someone explain the difference between the Docs that comes on a tablet, at least there is one on my Fire Tablet 7, and a File Manager, such as ES File Manager?

I was told to download a File Manager, and ES was recommended, but I didn't think I needed it because of the Docs files I see that are on my tablet?

Thanks in advance for any help, Denise

I haven't a clue about Docs on a Kindle. (My tablet has Word, Excel and PowerPoint so I do docs through Word).

since I couldn't find any download link on that page, I went searching.
Here is a download link: http://www.ebooks-for-all.com/bookm...nic-books+Computers+Hardware/0/all_items.html

It downloads as a 38 page pdf. (I downloaded it to my netbook to test what I'd get).

While in the process of searching, I looked at a few sites that offer free ebooks. You might want to bookmark these sites:

Wow, I appreciate the manual link @plodr !! The only manual I could find cost a bit at Amazon.

Docs is an APP that looks like just a bunch of files, so I assumed it is some sort of File Manager. I'm trying to figure out why folks are telling me to download a File Manager, but I did it. It's much nicer. It's just called Amaze, and I found it in reviews for file managers/android, and it's in Google Playstore;)

Also, so grateful for more, free-ebook links. I've been given several, but not the 2nd and 3rd one you listed;)

Yes, I look for anything free to download.

I have two free Dummies books for Android I was able to download when I got my first tablet.
I had the pdf open on the desktop computer and my tablet in hand trying to follow the directions. When something worked, I wrote it down on a 5" x 8" note card I grab as a reference when I want to "remember" how to do something.
