lately i've been using advanced system care 6 (free edition) on both my hp laptop (which i have xp home edition installed on it) and a home built gaming pc with windows vista home premium 32 bit (advanced system care 6 works fine on my laptop) but recently ive had to reinstall vista on my gaming pc about three times (right now im on the third reinstall) because it keeps freezing on startup and theres no difference between it and my laptop (besides hardware and os).
has anyone else who have used advanced system care 6 had any issues?:(

After using Iobit ASC for about 6 months I'm unconvinced of its benefits and have been thinking of removing it, but you could try temporarily disabling all of its functions to see if it is the cause of your problem.

after i get vista reinstalled (right now im erasing my gaming pc's hdd) i'll try it without vanced system care and see if that works (but i will use smart defrag since i never have problems with it).;)

i've reinstalled vista without advanced systemcare 6 and updated windows (since it was really late and i use smart defrag i used its auto shutoff after downloading updates) today i started my gaming pc and vista could only get past loading my onboard audio and wireless lan and froze (i waited about 10 minutes and it was still frozen (could any of vista's updates cause it to freeze?)

You will need to take a careful look in Event Viewer and examine those that occurred at the time the bootup froze. To get into Event Viewer type eventvwr.msc in the Start > Search box >> Custom Views >> Administrative Events. You can double click events to obtain more information.

im formatting my hdd (again, pointless maybe) and reinstall vista again and have windows update just install security updates and see if the non security updates where the cause.:(

i've found out what was causing my windows vista startup freeze (it was avg 2013) i googled it on my hp laptop (which i have installed windows xp and avg 2013) and found out avg 2013 has had an issue with windows 7 and vista since late last year with windows 7 or vista startup (causing ether to freeze)
    http://forums.avg.com/us-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=219053
and i noticed on my google search there was a thread for a forum mentioning xp being effected by avg 2013 (im very lucky with my laptop since i have xp installed on it with avg 2013 on my laptop im having no trouble with it) i now have avast anti virus on my gaming rig and it now boots fine.:-D
so anybody who has or has reinstalled ether windows 7 or vista you might want to stay away from avg and go with avast anti virus.;)
