Does anyone know what this virus is?

    Its called TR/VB.ami.1 and I deleted it after i opened a file that i dodnt know how it got there. Anyone know what it is :mad:

    coincidentally Avira detected it. It detected it in a folder called DFX.for.Windows.Media.Player.v7.500.WinALL.Incl. It was in my Documents Folder hidden in my Music Folder. The folder had a file called Installer and when I clicked that file, the virus warning came up. And Avira told me the name of the file, which was what I posted earlier.

    You did not post the name of the file! You only posted the name of the trojan.

    What is this DFX.for.Windows.Media.Player.v7.500.WinALL.Incl from? Where did you get it? What is it for? From what I know it is a CRACK! Which is probably why it is detected as a problem.

    crack? I didnt get it. I was reorganizing my files and i came upon the folder. And it only had the file named "Installer" which had the virus. So I deleted it. Since two other peeeps share the pc, they might have dled it.

    I meant Avira told me the name of the virus. not the file.

    I meant Avira told me the name of the virus, which came from the compressed file DFX.for.Windows.Media.Player.v7.500.WinALL.Incl

    Okay so if you still are getting a detection, delete the folder and file ..etc! It is an illegal crack!
