I pulled the 2 wires off the connector while removing the motherboard. I think I can repair it, but don't remember which wire was which. Does it matter?

Well, I'll just try it. It's only the 2 wires that go from the board to the ODD switch, that when you push the button, it pops the tray out. Probably low voltage DC, so the polarity doesn't matter. Hey, I can always just use a paper clip to pop the tray right ? :)
