Dog Pack Attacks Croc in Cairns

At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty.

The croc, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and survival of the pack mentality bred into the canines.

Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the croc preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the crocodile.

Awww that is sooooo cute...those eyes can melt a heart!

My friends dog had her pups yesterday so my son and I went round to see them last night. ELEVEN cute rottie/boxer mix squealing puppies. Sweet!

I miss my dog who we had to let go at 16yrs due to cancer:cry ....besides being a wonderful companion (her bark sounded deep like that of a German Shepherd and people were always surprised to see it was just a Schnautzer). She loved romps on the beach, chasing seagulls and climbing rocks like a goat....we discovered she had a special talent when she was a pup - she could sing and capture perfect harmony with songs on TV and Radio (she could hold a tune better than I ever could). She was so cool and captured anyone's heart who met her :cool

The TV was playing unattended one day when there was an old Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy movie where he was serenading her ("Indian Love Call") and here is this pup howling in perfect harmony to "When I'm calling youuuuu....ooooooo...oooooo" She could even hold tunes at celebrations with her different range in howls and barks when we would sing "happy birthday"....A joy to watch.

Now I limit myself to my cat due to my lifestyle....the saying that Dogs have Masters and Cats have Staff is soooo true!
