Dog Shoots and Kills Owner

Here's one you don't see every day:
Dog Triggers Gun Blast, Killing Owner
An overexcited dog accidentally shot and killed its owner on a goose hunting trip in Texas​

According to Deputy Nacheal Bonin of the Chambers County Sheriff's Department the case closed:

"There will be no further investigation because the gun was covered with the chocolate Labrador Retriever's muddy paw prints"​

Surprisingly (according to the article, anyway) it is not uncommon at all for hunters to be shot by their dogs.

Sorry, but I find it hilarious...my apologies to those hunters who have their dogs in tow when out hunting (LOL...sorry, can't help myself..just that a looney tune dog image keeps coming to mind, with a hound dog wearing a Sherlock cap holding a magnifying glass against a paw print, tickles me )

 

Unbelievable story! Even the Sheriffs name is appropriate "Bonin". Is he a relation of the dog
What a wacky and weird world we live in

 

Typical jerk, drives around with an unsecured and loaded gun. Hee haw, I got's me gun and my dawg in my peekup truck! Another candidate for the Darwins.

 

A couple years ago I was cleaning the office closet and found a loaded rifle. My daughters' 17 yr old friend said she would unload it for me because she knew all about rifles.She took it into the livingroom and it went off and nearly killed my dog. The bullet went into the floor just inches from him. It made a big burn spot in the rug over the carpet. We got scared and rolled up the rug but the carpet underneath had a big hole. We didn't want to tell my husband so we cut a piece of carpet from the closet and patched up the hole with minutes to spare before he walked in. I donated the rug to charity.

 

Sound like some folks need classes in gun safety :heli
