Don't know whats going on

Hi,

I'm having some major problems with my P.C that I'm guessing is to do with some malware that I can't find/remove.

I recently formatted the C: drive (I have a back-up D and reinstalled windows. I have also installed avast, spyware doctor and spybot and run all those programs and removed as much as i can that way but still something remains.

for some reason the windows firewall is turned off and wont turn back on again. ive gone into the services folder and tried to turn the process back on again but it says that it cant start because it cant find the process.

Also, windows auto update will not install the latest updates. Its downloaded 30 updates and when it tries to install it just comes up that all installs failed.

Also i unfortunately installed teatimer with spybot before i read somewhere that it is best not to do that.

Also there is a folder in my C: directory called Ínetpub" that i cant remove and every time i ctrl-alt-del iexplorer seems to be running in the background even though i use firefox as my web browser.

Spybot came up saying that it had something called virtumonde on the system and from what i read it seems that it can be a bit of a bugger to remove so any help would be greatfully received.

Please uninstall HJT as it will be properly installed when you do the following:

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
