    Hello All,

Please correct me if I'm in the wrong forum.

The power went off in our home today and when it came back on our computer rebooted. This meant our VNC was on.

When my wife turned on our monitor she noticed two DOS windows open over each other and a ZoneAlarm Dialog box. It said that there was a request for a FTP file transfer. My wife selected "Deny". That closed the ZoneAlarm dialog box as well as one of the DOS windows. Another ZoneAlarm dialog box then appeared saying the same as before. She selected "Deny".

I have saved that DOS window and was wondering is someone can have a look at it and decipher what it says and possible means.

I will not attach it until one of the Forum Administrators gives me permission.

All of our anti-virus and malware programs as suggested by MajorGeeks are up to date.

How do I get VNC to stop loading at startup?

Thanks to you all in advance for your help. This truly is a wonderful site.

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
    • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
    • Bitdefender - from step 6
    • Panda Scan - from step 6
    • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
    • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
    • HijackThis
