After running Task Manager last evening I discovered that a lot of my programs have been saved in DOS...how do I change this?

DOS is Disk Operating System, preceded and was replaced by Windows.

So at least I for one, don't understand the question. :confused

The Task Manager only tells you what tasks are active on the computer.

I don't know what you mean by "a lot of my programs have been saved in DOS.."

    1. What flavor of windows are you running?
    2. When you say you ran Task manager
    a) did you bring it up by ctrl + alt + del?
    b) what tab(s) did you click once task manager appeared?
    c) what did you click while viewing these tabs?
