"I'm Joe and I usually make technology humor videos. On my channel you'll find absolutely absurd tutorials that may look real, but are not (that's the joke!)...."

It pays to read the description, as Earthling posted.

It pays to read the description of the program he is using. The program, BTW, is Windows Memory Diagnostics. It "tests"your RAM. And the "Extended" option simply extends the testing of your RAM, not the amount of RAM.

Another clue are his screen shots showing the before and after RAM. There is no Windows Experience Index in Windows 10. So clearly it is fake.

It pays to read what he says about his three different You Tube channels. The one that has that video is flagged as all about jokes, satire, humour and that all of the technical videos are fake, not real and he tells people that. He does have a separate real tech channel.

I see no reason to delete the topic. It may help someone else not familiar with computer hardware. And that's the point really. RAM is hardware. And the size of the RAM is dependent on the physical number of transistor gates on the physical memory integrated circuits (IC or modules). Knowing that, it does not make sense you can double the number of transistors on a piece of hardware by running software.

It's good to stay up. Those who stumble across "how to double your RAM for free" will easily be able to see the YouTube video was a joke so it helps others.
