    hi all

    i used to have a peice of software which prevented doubleclick,having formatted i have forgot what it was called / script stopper or something like ,i know its a little vauge but could anyone help

    Are you talking about blocking cookies or are you talking about blocking access to the website's URL?

    yes i do understand binery ,its blocking the url website ,iv only got 125meg sdram in me brain at the moment, i cant remember where it is from ,but it was good /script something

    Are you referring to the Immunize feature of Spybot Search & Destroy or IE-SpyAd which does some similar things. Or are you thinking of the tool (that we don't recommend using) that adds thousands of line to your hosts file in an attempt to ban the bad internet. This is often referred to as the MVPS HOSTS file.

    thank you for your valid input, spybot in question does not seem to immunise doubleclick.com i dont have teatime on, mediaplex.com is another thorn or is it?

    Could it be Spywareblaster that you used to block those URLs, Cookies, ActiveX etc components?

    As it does add those domains to the Privacy > blocked site listings in IE and Firefox.
