    Ok, prob here.

I notice when I come here among other sites, that the browser is giiving info to doubleclick and others.

I am currently using Ie 6, and mozilla firebird 6.1

I have run adaware (didn't find anything by doubleclick) and I also ran spybot search and destroy and it found doubleclick, and I removed it, I actaully removed it yesterday and it was back again today, then I just removed it again (doubleclick) 3 minutes ago and then restarted and came here again and now it shows that the browser is sending info to doubleclick again.

Any thoughts? I am stumped and a bit upset at how doubleclick keeps comming back.

    Peace,

    Dino

It's just a cookie, doubleclick provides banners adn pop-ups to different sites from advertisers and they usally set a cookie...

I did, didn't you read my post???

I know what doubleclick is, but how can it be there if I deleted it with spybot? I haven't had doubleclick on my system for long time now, but now it shows up everyday , even after I remove it with spybot, Ack~! lol, damn persistant doubleclick

On another note, didn't I see a newer version of spybot avail here, I can't seem to find it, one that came out a month or so ago perhaps???

o sorry, what i meant to say is that adaware and spybot should delete the cookie when they find it. It automatically comes back, so just run the program every once in a while

spybot can update it's self just click the update tab and search for and download updates.

    Re: Re: doubleclick :( :( :( :(

Sorry dude, I see ya misunderstood my post, I said " I notice when I come here among other sites, that the browser is giiving info to doubleclick and others"

meaning when I click on this site and others I noticed it,

I didn't say, "I came here and you guys gave me" ok. ;)

    sorry for the misunderstanding.

I'm just fed up with that doubleclick, I haven't had to worry about it for over a year with my old maching as I been using ad aware and also use spybot s&d for well over a year and updating by the "button" regulary -

just fustrating when you think you got rid of the doubleclick and the first site you go to and you see it is still on the machine,

yes your site was the first site I went to after I used spybot cuz I trust this site, and the fact Ithat I said I am still observing doubleclick is just me saying , &%#! , I can't get rid of this damn thing.

hope that clears things up MA,
sorry about the misunderatanding, first time that happend here for me,

    peace,

    Dino
