    I am looking for a source of downloadable music particularly 70's classsic rock without the viruses and other rubbish sometimes attached to such sources.

    There are now numerous pay services that work in a lot of places around the world... www.napster.com is worth a look as is www.cokemusic.com. Apple have something similar too but Im not sure if that is just for their iPod... ??? Not my area of expertise but they are the ones I know about.

    ITunes is the program for apple its not just for mac anymore and its not just for ipod so u can use that if u want. also connect.com is a good site for downloadable music.
