Download problems from Major Geeks---

Hi---a friend visiting from Australia bought a Toshiba laptop while here in the states---XP/SP2---turned him on to Major Geeks for some downloads---Spyware blaster, Ad-aware, Spybot, etc.---cannot download them in Australia---any help would be deeply appreciated---thanks---

 

what kind of error he get when he tried to dl'd?

First thing your friend needs is to connect to the net - I wonder if your friend was advised of that necessity.
Don't mean to be rude but if your friend is on a first time journey into the cyberworld then step no.1 is get connected to an ISP. Preferably via an ADSL connection - around these part's thats around $100.
That aside I have never had a problem downloading from MJ

I use the Internode (OZ) link, one of the download links, every day to download stuff from Major geeks. I also have a Toshiba laptop, bought in OZ, and have no trouble downloading at all. Bazza
