Download Wont Write To Folder

I am trying to download a file from my printer's web-based scanning (the scan becomes a pdf displayed in a browser Window). Basically, the scanner, which is an HP Officejet pro 8610, allows me to access printer functions through a web page. When I scan, a new browser window with the file comes up.
I recently installed https everywhere, which is a browser extension, and now when I download a scanned document, it doesn't actually show up in the folder that I have chosen to download to. There are no error messages or anything. It's simply not there.
The reason that I mention https everywhere is because that seems to be when the problem started. Also, the printer's web-interface does not use https. I am hoping that that's not an overall problem, thinking that the traffic doesn't actually leave my network.

 

The file might have downloaded somewhere else.
Searching for pdf files should find it.

Maybe you should disable the "https everywhere" extension for the "printer's web-interface." Might be able to find what you need here:

It seems like there are 2 options.
1) disable the add on for a particular site. This is what I have done.
2) create rules for a particular site. For example, abc.com http://abc.com automatically convert to https://abc.com
So, it should work but maybe there is some kind of unexpected behavior going on because of being on the local network.

 

I got the scanning to work in Firefox (I was originally working in Brave). Both had https everywhere enabled. So, I guess it's the browser or some setting in it.

 

Completely disable HTTPS Everywhere and restart the browser.
Then you'll know if it's related to HTTPS Everywhere.
