Hello I am using Windows XP HE SP2
    Internet Explorer7.0.5730.11

    2.6ghz processor with 1gb ram

10mb down/1 mb up internet connection

I am only able to download a maximum of two seperate files at the same time using Internet Explorer. In the past I have been able to download multiple files at once without a problem. It seems someone has made some adjustments to my settings, but I cannot seem to find where I can change it back. Now when I download two files at once all other internet activity comes to a standstill until one of the files completes. I am sure I am overlooking a minor detail. Is there anyone who may know how to remedy this problem? Thank you.

    In the regedit go to
    HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internetsettings

Rightclick in a blank part of the right hand panel select new>DWORD

    typein
    MaxConnectionsPerServer
    press enter
doubleclick the new key you have just made
enter 4 into the value data field
    click OK
Create a second DWORD key called
    MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
Double click on it and enter the value 8
close registry editor and restart pc.
