I now have a new computer and seem to have something blocking my downloads. I've tried utorrent, limewire pro and opera. All three I used previously at one time or another.

I have Kaspersky, but it is showing that it is allowing limewire, but the downloads are not budging. I switched off the firewall and still nothing and I mean NOTHING.

This is a brand new computer running on Windows 7, so I'm not familiar with error checking, truth be told, I'm not familiar with the real technical things, so any much needed but even more appreciated advice will need to be spoon fed.

On my previous notebook, Limewire pro ran smoothly with Kaspersky.

And just to throw in a curve ball, limewire allows me to download direct from it's search function, sadly not a function I trust or use. I never finds my downloads. And opera allowed me to download firefox.

Just an idea! I know little about 7 but it probably has a firewall is it turned off? If not try that then turn KIS back on see what happens.
