robertbiferi I can't follow the rules

I have a scanner and I just scanned a photo at 300 DPi.

If I right click on the photo and go to Details it tells me the V RES. 300 DPi and the Y RES. is 300 DPI.

But if I open it in CorelPhotopaint and look at the Photo specs it says DPi 72??

A photo editor will open an image using the default Windows resolution of 72 dpi,
but the physical dimensions or printed size (in inches) will be larger than the source document in the scanner.

What you need to do is change the image resolution back to 300 dpi using the image editor, it's physical dimensions will then change back to what it was in the scanner.

One more thing when I open the Photo in my CorelPhoto Paint I now understand that it will open it up at win RES. 72 DPi.

But after I have it opened I go to File then Image Properties and it sould tell you the Photo specs.

And it says 72 DPi for Y and X?

    why
