    Hello,
I am running windows XP Pro with Windows Live One Care and have Dreamweaver 8 installed. Last night while updating my site it locked up. I have a spread sheet integrated onto my site. I am trying to add another row.
When I try to do this it locks up and wont respond. These are the error reports I get from Microsoft.

    C:\DOCUME~1\JEFFBA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER9e9c.dir00\Dreamweaver.exe.mdmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\JEFFBA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER9e9c.dir00\appcompat.txt

Here is the page from my site I am trying to update so you have an idea of what im talking about.

This just started doing this as I had been updating other parts of the same page such as adding numbers and colors to it. I only started having trouble when I went to add another row. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

    Jeff

P.S. I have uninstalled this and reinstalled but only after I cleaned the registry out.

Did you install any programs since you last edited this site?

No. just weekly updates which I deleted and am holding off on putting back. Incase they were the isuue but I doubt they were. Im stumped as to what the issue is.

Are you editing live? Or do you have a local file that you are editing, which is NOT also connected via the site option?

A pita attempt. Can you disconnect from the internet (unplug ethernet cable) and then edit this file locally? Does this work?

Im always connected to the server when I do any kind of updates. And please exscuse my NooB question but what is a pita attempt?? I will disconnect from the net and see if that works. If that does work what is the issue and can I fix it so i can edit while connected to the net?\

PITA = Pain In The a$$ (as in donkey or mule) :)

I'm merely troubleshooting the issue right now.

You are running xp pro sp2, with all the windows updates, including the recent ones?

yEs but I uninstalled the last 2 updates which were .net ones. Thought maybe they might have been the issue. I have mine to update automatically. I was told its better to do it that way than manually. so what might be my problem??

Can you edit the file, while offline, then?

No the samething happens. I have MX studio installed on my other pc which has Windows 2000 Pro and I can edit the same file on that pc WITH a browser opened and my outlook express opened and my IM running. That has a 750 AMD processor which is just a tad bit slower than what I have now and also 256 MB ram which is half of what im running now on my XP Pro machine. Is there a setting I can edit tha might be slowing this down?? I have reset my router and modem and cleaned all tem files and cahce folder sand cookies etc. etc. etc. but am still at a loss as to what the issue is. Anyone have any ideas that might shed some light on this??? Thanx
