Hi and Welcome to the forum

I have moved your post from an old thread into its own one so we can help you, however you are going to have to tell us what the problem is, what driver is missing?

In device manager do you have any items with yellow ! marks? if so please tell us what ones they are.

But you should find all the drivers you need HERE at Intel for your motherboard version, what you need to do is install the Chipset driver first and reboot and then install the Audio driver, I note you are Windows XP Sp2 so you will need to install the UAA driver before the Audio one, UAA driver is HERE

    Hi

Open up the Services list, its found in Control Panel > Adminstrative Tools and then look down the list for Windows Audio, double click it to open and then make sure its started and the startup type is set to automatic.

Then go into Control Panel > Sound and audio devices control and make sure that your audio device is chosen in the dropdown in the Audio tab and Sound Playback

As you mention that the Realtek driver is installed but not responding, what do you mean by this, is it just not working giving you sound or are you getting a Windows error of this device not responding not responding?

    Hi

Did you get any error messages when re-installing the driver? do post it in full if you can.

Did you try the things I posted in post #4?

As for hell of alot of problems, this time you may have a 3rd party application causing the problem or this install of Windows didnt go 100% and could be in part corrupted, at times you get a bad install.

What I would try is to disable all your security software, antivirus, firewall etc then start from scratch and install the Chipset Driver again then reboot, then install the UAA driver again and then the Audio, but do check the Windows Audio service I mentioned in post #4 first.
