Drive Wiper

    I have a friend that called and asked for me to help him move some programs and personal files to CD and after that wipe the drive. I've noticed several apps here designed to solve each task. But I have never used them. I have always copied the files manually and then reload the OS. Do we have a known application or way to do these tasks better than this? Thanks

    You could use something like Active KillDisk.
    The free version will overwrite the entire drive with zeros, which I consider quite adequate.
