Driver for FIC Au31

I have a FIC Au31 motherboard with an Emachines T3065 and this is the second time it had underclocked itself. This time it has changed the fsb from 240 to 238 making my clock speed 1.6 ghz instead of 2.2. But the wierd thing is that if you multiply my clock times the multiplier you get what the clock is supposed to by *10. Any ideas? Is this the same as the FIC AU13? Can you find a BIOS?

 

I have spoke to emachines and they said that they dont support BIOS upgrades (i am not surprised). Wierd thing is that I restarted and now its back to normal. And there is more good news. I am trading a 9550 and my motherboard for a friends x300 and his oveclockable socket A motherboard, so that should help.

 

Yea, they do have a special service for like 20 bucks where they will do anything for you, but im not going to waste my money on that. Anyways, i'm planning a new build in a few months anyway with a core 2 duo and 8800 gtx or equivalent

 

There is a modded bios for the AU31 that allows settings for fsb located here

 

Just make sure you dl and flash the correct one. I have the same mobo (which is really K7m-NF18G model # I believe) and I flashed mine about 3 months ago. It still doesn't give you the best options for adjusting, but much better than stock. This is the only BIOS update around for this board I believe.

Crap, I posted a reply about 2 weeks ago, but it didn't post for some reason. So here, I'll post it again.

Off the top of my head, I don't know exactly what the updated BIOS offers. What I can tell you it offers though is more FSB speed adjustments, from about 100MHz to 300MHz I believe. It doesn't allow any voltage adjustments or multi adjustments. What the OEM BIOS doesn't offer is memory speed adjustments. The updated BIOS allows you to adjust memory speed independently from the FSB speed, or set it to a certain percentage of the FSB speed. If I remember, next time I reboot I'll go into BIOS and take notes of adjustments. As far as I know, those 2 speeds settings are the only things it offers. I don't recall seeing any other adjustments other than those.

I've never tried, but can I take a screenshot of the BIOS setting? Or do I have to get out the digi camera?

I've uploaded the updated bios TCB432L to Fileplanet.

This unlocks quite a few helpful tools and settings to tweak and adjust. Use Award Flash, or flash the old school way.
