Driver issue after updates

Hi all.
I updated a comp from xp to 7.
I use a DLink DL-132 rev A wireless adapter.
I downloaded the latest driver I could find before the upgrade and put it on a usb stick.
I installed the driver after the install and my connection was fine.
I went through the process of installing critical updates, all was fine.
I then downloaded non critical but recommended updates.
After restart I had no connection and my adapter was not working.
I uninstalled, reinstalled, reinstalled the drivers, nothing.
Any clues?
