I'm having a problem, someone help please!

I was doing my taxes online, and cmd prompt popped up on my screen and deleted every system32 file on my computer. I couldn't stop it. Then my computer shut itself down and when it restarted I kept getting error messages about why Windows wouldn't open.

I had to do a repair install, and after spending a day and a half to try to repair the damage, I got Windows up and running. Then my DVD drives were missing, and my USB ports had the Code 39 error next to them. The code reads "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing."

I got the DVD drives fixed by editing the registry.

I have googled the error code for 3 days now, trying every suggestion I can find, and still, my USB ports have the error messages.

Does anyone here have any idea what I can do?

    Thanks in advance!

    FIRST OF ALL

    BACKUP YOUR DATA

If you can't put it onto an external medium, create a second partition on your hard drive and copy it over. at least it will still be there if Windows fails again.

Secondly the events sound more like malware to me. Unfortunately a repair install will also reinstall any malware try a repost in the malware forum.
