Driver Problem with HP A1253W

    I got a HP A1253W PC. I'm getting the error when trying to install the driver for my audio in pic 1.



    In pic 2 is the driver i need to obtain. The unknowen divice is the 56k modem what im not worried about since i dont use it.

    Are you trying to update the audio driver through the Device Manager or did you download it? Is it possible that that if you DL'd it, you got the XP one? Did you get the driver from HP? This is the link for the Vista Realtek driver at HP: Realtek Hi-Def Driver

    Have you tried updating by browsing your PC or by having the device manager search online?

    The AAU Hi Def driver is supposed to be part of Vista. The only thing I can think of at the moment if that driver doesn't install is to try updating with Windows Update and see if that helps.
