    Hi,

Does anyone know why I can't install any driver manually. When I plug in a usb device windows installs a generic driver but then when I try to install a driver manually it hangs, does not respond.

OMG now I'm trying to attach a jpeg of my system info and it won't. RRRR

    Windows 7 Home Premium,
    sp1
    Asus Notebook G73Sw
    16 gb Ram
    64bit os
Running a second monitor set to number one.

    Thanks

You should not have to manually install a driver for USB devices in windows 7.
I have 3 external hard drives, a mini MS USB mouse and over 3 dozen USB sticks in different sizes and brands. Win 7 finds them all (even some no name cheap Chinese USB stick) and I am able to use the mouse and access the files on the external drives/sticks.

that does work when I plug them in but I can't program any of the buttons on my new Logitech wave wireless keyboard. I've downloaded the driver from Logitech and it won't install. ???

Please state the exact model so I can see if anyone reports hardware glitches with this.
I did see someone running Win 7 can't install the Setpoint software.
I also saw where the person said not to put the receiver into a USB 3 port, even though the connector on the receiver is USB 3.

I'll do better searching once I know if you have a keyboard mouse combo or just a keyboard and if it is wired or wireless with a receiver.

    Keyboard K350
    http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/wireless-keyboard-k350?osid=1&bit=32&crid=404

It tells you how to uninstall SetPoint for XP and Vista
    http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com...04/lt_product_id/5994/tabs/1,3,2,4,5/cl/us,en
so the fact that 7 is missing might mean it is not compatible with Win 7.

Scratch that because it shows it is compatible with Win 7
    http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12438/kw/SetPoint for Windows 7

    Go here
    http://www.logitech.com/en-us/suppo...b/techsupport/mouse/setpoint6.61.15_smart.exe
Select Windows 7 and SetPoint then select Full Installer 64 bit. (78 MB).
Disconnect from the internet and turn off your av program. Right click the exe file you downloaded and run as administrator. Hopefully, that will get it installed.
If it doesn't work, I'd click the Contact Us button, and send an email telling them what you tried and how SetPoint fails to install.
