Drivers

Loaded XP PRO SP3 on computer and noe I don't have all of my drivers,especially to access internet and sound looked them and it displays not installed code 28. Anybody have any suggestions on how to get them up and working again? thanks... trash20001

 

Hi Trash2001! I'd be more than glad to help you with at least the sound problem, but first I need to know if your sound is 'on-board' or via an add-in card. If you could, post the make and model number of your machine because I suspect it may be on-board and with that info I can find which sound device you have. Then we can find you the proper drivers.

As for the internet part, I'm going to have to leave that up to someone with more experience in that area!! But, hey, 1 out of 2 ain't bad:-D

 

Thanks for the quick response Stubby...th make is AMD Athlon XP with a Maxtor 8200 hard drive and a Phoenix BIOS syst. and once again any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Trash, run this everest report and post it so we can see what exactly is on the system.

 

Actually Trash, that doesn't give us the info we need to help you. Follow Buggabear's advice, download that program and post the results. The program is harmless, but it'll give us all the info we need, okay? Thanks Buggabear for that advice on Everest
