I have win7 64 Bit and an Insperon 660 Desktop PC.

I went to Dells WebSite to Download the Audio Driver just so I have it on hand if I need it.

    I got
    Audio_Driver_8J8NF_WN_8.50.8.0_A01.EXE

Before I keep it on Disc can anyone tell me if this is the right Driver for my System?

I ask because I have bad eyes and I want to make sure I Downloaded the right one.

    Thanks.

    Thank you.

And I did get this for my Onboard Ethernet
    Network_Driver_G1MNG_WN_7.048.0823.2011_A01.EXE

Can you help me get the WiFi Driver for my MotherBoard sio I can just keep it on Disc with all the others?

Thank you for all the help.

Does windows 7 64Bit have WiFi Drivers Built in?
Is so I do not have to a a WiFi Driver to back up on Disc for my Insperon 660 Desktop.

I just did not know if you have a Motherboard with OnBoard WiFi if my Win7 CD have Drivers for that.
Because I have a Win7 Disc and if I get a new PC with WiFi I would like to just use it?

I think I did it I just want to check?

For my Audio Drive I Downloaded.
    Audio_Driver_8J8NF_WN_8.50.8.0_A01.exe

For my OnBoard Ethernet I Downloaded this.
    Network_Driver_G1MNG_WN_7.048.0823.2011_A01.exe

    For my Video I downloaded.
    Video_Driver_1D1GN_WN_8.15.10.2696_A02.exe
But my Video is OnBoard HDMI and OnBoard DVI is this for both?

And for my WiFi I Downloaded.
    WiFi_Intel_W74_A00_Setup-P47JT_ZPE.exe
    Are these the right ones?

    And it says Catagory.
    And under it it says
    Audio
    BIOS
    Chipset
    Network and so on?

And when you click on say Audio it drops down and has 2. Files in it.

Am I looking at the right Drivers?
It is everything in each Topic
    Audio
    BIOS
    Chipset
Network and so on or amn I looking in the wrong place?
    Thanks.

Yes from that link - specific to Inspiron 660.
If you put your Dell System SERVICE TAG number it is quicker

OK I got my Drivers thanks for the help.

    But one thing?
Under Serial ATA there is 3. Files

    DH-16AES-DD12_ZPE.exe

    SeaBootBuilderr_Dell_Pharaoh_KC47_ZPE.exe

    Serial-ATA_Driver_0D0T4_WN_11.1.0.1006_A02.exe

Now this last one I think is for the SATA Drivers.

But what is the top 2. for?

OK I am on Dells WebPage and I am getting all of my Drivers one at a time.
It is going good but I have just one thing to ask?

    One of the Files is
    Network_Driver_71VPC_WN_9.2.0.512_A02.EXE

And it says it is for my OnBoard Wireless.

    Then there is another File
    WiFi_Intel_W74_A00_Setup-P47JT_ZPE.exe

And it says it is for WiFi Networking.

Do I need both of these for my OnBoard WiFi to work I do not know what these two File do or not??
    Thanks.

    @biferi ,

If you simply input your Service Tag Number at the Dell Support site, your particular computer will show. The list of drivers will be for your computer the way it was configured when it left the factory. There's no need to download any other drivers unless you're running a different version of Windows other than the one originally installed. In that case, you'd need to click on "Find it myself", "Change OS" and choose the version of Windows you're running.

You say you're running Windows 7 but, if your computer originally came with Windows Vista or earlier, later versions of Windows may not be supported.

    @mdonah
If you read the whole thread it was already established what that exact Dell model came with originally. It wasn't Vista. OSs after the original (Win 7) ARE supported. But the OP has already said they currently have Win 7.
The OP has already been advised to use the Dell Service Tag multiple times - that is what will identify their original system and what drivers there are. The reason the OP wants drivers is (a) because elsewhere, in an unresolved Drivers thread, they said they'd uninstalled some, and (b) they want to save them on disc for future use, though that's actually not needed.

My Computers Product Key Number is so small I can not read it.

If I use the FREE program CPU-Z would that give it to me?

I remember I used it befor and it gave me things like System RAM Type and Speed. How many Cores my CPU had.

Info on the Chipset and Motherboard.

Will it give me what you asked for??

And yes it came with Win7 64 Bit Home installed.

For MULTIPLE product keys, use Belarc Advisor
Please read this carefully: It is your DELL SERVICE TAG number that you need. Not your Microsoft Product Key.
I do not know if Belarc or any program will tell you that.
So you could take a smart phone picture of the sticker on your computer, upload it and ENLARGE it.

    I just watched a video on .
They say you can get diferant Product Keys for the Programs on your System.

But let me gess this is not a Product Key.

When Dell put my System togather they just make a System Number.
So it is not on any Chips or anything am I right?

The System Tag is Made Up by Dell for my System they Made for me and no Program can get it.

    Am I right??

The Dell SYSTEM TAG number is on the following:
A sticker on the physical system itself
    The original purchase documentation
Any email correspondence if you ordered the computer online.
Whether or not it shows in the report by Belarc Advisor, only you will know that when you run it.

If you press F2 at the POST screen, you'll enter BIOS Setup. In the first screen that's presented, the Service Tag number should show.

You could also use System Detect at the Dell Support site. The Service Tag number will show there as well.

Be advised that on my Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 8.1 if I transferred the device drivers I dowmloaded from Dell off of my Desktop or Downloads folder to a CD/DVD or external drive, they didn't decompress or install properly the next time I tried to install them. They had to be where I originally placed them. So, every time I re-installed Windows 8.1, I had to download the device drivers from Dell each time.

I just got the Dell System Detect Program and installed it.

When I click it in the System Tray a screen open that says
Dell System Detect will give System information.
And then it give the Copy Right of Dell.

    And this is it.

    And it has Close.

    How to di use this???

You need to use your DELL SERVICE TAG number on the Dell Support Drivers and Downloads page or simply click on the button that says 'Detect Drivers'.

This is all you need if you want to reinstall any drivers for Ethernet, WiFi and Audio.

Even I can find those drivers for an Inspiron 660 and I don't have that system.

Unless you follow the advice given carefully and exactly, this thread is becoming a waste of time.

You needed to keep the Dell Support site page open in your browser. The Service Tag number along with a picture of your computer would have shown up there.

You are correct in stating Product Keys are not the same as the Service Tag number. The Service Tag number is for the machine itself and Product Keys are for the Windows OS and/or the software you're running on the machine.

Your programs won't access/reveal your Service Tag number but you can reveal your Service Tag number using the Command Prompt as described in the link MaxTurner gave you in Post #24.

I just wanted to know one thing?

When I was on Dells Support page I clicked on Auto Detect.
And the next page gave me a link for the Detect Program.

I Downloaded it and installed it.

Now when I Click it on the System Tray it opens.
    It Says
    Dell System Detect.
    And the Copy Right.

    This is all.

So are you telling me I have to go to Dells Support page and Click System Detect with this Program on my Desktop Running?

I do not meen to Piss anyone off I just have very very very Bad eyes.
So when I go on Dells page it is hard for me to find everything.

    @biferi,

I have very bad eyes as well (bilateral cataracts — the one in the left eye is brown and the one in the right eye is orange).

I run Firefox as my browser and to make things easier to see, I zoom in by typing Ctrl+. I also have my theme set to a modified high contrast black because black text on a white background simply washes out. I need white text on a black background.

Uninstall System Detect. Then, go back to the Dell Support site and re-run System Detect but, leave your browser open at the Dell Support site. The program will install and run and in a few moments your Service Tag number and a small picture of your computer will show.

You can then go to Drivers and Downloads to get the exact drivers and other software (like Dell Support or Dell Update) for your computer.

I am having the Blue Screen Of Death off and on.

And I am thinking of doing something to Fix it.
I was thinking of Re Installing all of my Systems Drivers.

So this is why I put this Post in my Drivers Post.

I have a Dell Inspiron 660 Model but whenever I go to the Dell WebSite I can not find my Drivers.
Can anybody tell me how I should find my the Right way?

And how do I Un Install all my Drivers before I Re Install the new ones?

I did Re Install the Video Driver and I still get the BSOD.

Even if say I had a Bad USB Driver or a Bad Audio Driver am I Right this would not give me The Blue Screen Of Death?

You gave no information on the BSOD and without that, I can't begin to guess what error and message you see.
