While trying to delete some unwanted shots from My Pictures, I suddenly discovered that all deletions were immediately copied. I persisted, but so did Windows. Before I finally threw in the towel, I had 23 copies of everything. How can I put a stop to this mayhem? Surely XP can disable this function.

    This should help:wave

    Select
files and then right-click on the selection and choose Delete. Or
select files and then use File>Delete.

    if not then use this.

Many thanks, Heidi and Wightboy. Another cure seems to be in desensitizing the mouse travel, which I have already tried, and works. A permanent cure is probably in the registry, but I`ll stay away from that. Thanks again, guys.
