Hi fellas, I'm pretty much a newbie to the Linux scene but I'm trying to learn. I currently use Windows XP and I don't really want to make my system 100% Linux till I understand how to use it.
So, what I thought I’d do is stick “Damn Small Linux” onto “Microsoft Virtual PC 2007” and play around with the system in a window to get educated. So if anyone would like to help me do this your help would be greatly appreciated.
What I need though is: DSL download URL & some help setting up.
    Thanks in advance. ;)

PS: If you have any other Linux tips for newbs that would be nice, anything to help. :D

You can download from any one of the Damn Small Linux mirrors. Make sure to get a .ISO image.

Once downloaded, setup a new virtual machine, and start it. As it boots, select 'Capture ISO Image' from the 'CD' menu. Use this to select the DSL .ISO image. Once complete, restart the virtual machine. It should boot from the image, and give you the options to install.

Sorry I don't get it I see a few files:

    File: GPL_Sources.txt
    Directory: archive
    Directory: current
    Directory: dsl-n
    Directory: mydsl
    Directory: release_candidate

Do I download all of them and do something with them?
