DSO Exploit

    So...thanks to you guys and the stellar instructions on how to get rid of spyware, I have been hugely successful except for DSO Exploit...I understand that this one isn't so bad...after all it's only from Microsoft :rolleyes:

    Is there a quick fix for this or should i just put up with it? I think I saw a thread earlier saying that it doens't do any harm. Is this really true or is it traditional spyware like all the others...well almost all the others...

    ...major geek fan!

    I guess i should qualify what i've done already:

    I've followed all your instructions to the letter...all the way through. this is the only recurring spyware that comes back, otherwise i'm clean...

    Are you sure you followed ALL the instructions? What is telling you that you have a DSO Exploit problem?

    Is your OS fully up to date?

    fully updated and yes ALL instructions... :) ...spybot is finding it...

    Then you did not follow all instructions in the READ ME FIRST. Namely:
    Spybot - Search and Destroy DSO Exploit Fix - Install this patch on top of Spybot to fix the DSO Exploit bug

    it showed it...i fixed the problem...just running another scan on it...give me a sec and i'll let ya know :)
