A while back I had installed both Windows XP (C:) and Windows Vista (D:) but have since decided that I will not be using Windows Vista on this machine.

I'd like to format the partition holding Windows Vista on it, and keep the XP partition in tact, however I'm afraid that Windows XP might not boot as my computer (as far as I know) uses the Vista OS selection screen deciding which OS to boot with.

How can I uninstall Windows Vista, and the OS selection screen, and return to just using XP by itself?

    Thanks.

Grab VistaBootPro load it into XP(you may need to install dotnet v2 first), fire it up and delete your Vista boot line. Reboot and you'll go straight to XP, then do what you want with the D: drive.
