Dual boot windows XP not working

    I have partitioned my harddrive and created 3 partitions in total. I want to install Windows XP on all three partitions. So far I have installed XP on partition 1 and 2. I get the OS choice menu on boot but I can't use the arrows to choose which O/S to boot from. Any ideas where I could be going wrong.

    My boot.ini file contains:

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

    because its just thesame you installed.. try to installed xp first then vista or win 7
