I just bought an eMachines eM250-1162 with an Intel Atom N270 CPU and Windows 7 Starter. Oddly, the task manager CPU Usage history shows two graphs with independent progress.

The Intel Atom N270 is not supposed to be dual core. I can't imagine this little netbook has two processors.

What is W7 tracking as two independent CPU usage history trails? Any ideas?

I can send a screen snapshot of the Task Manager showing the two CPU graphs.

As hrlow2 suggested, the 270 Atom is Hyper-threading; there are currently 2 64-bit Atoms that are Dual-core, the 330 and D510 but Intel have disallowed their use in netbooks :(.

    Atom specs and another page.

Thanks satrow and hrlow2. This is exactly the kind and depth of information I was looking for. Great link references.
