    Hey all!

It's been a *long* time but i'm back in the forums with a question.

Recently i've got into video editing, shooting on a gorgeous Sony EX1 that makes beautiful HD video. Anyway. By olde worlde 3200+ is, uh, not happy with HD timelines and i've been forced to move over to the dark side and use the Universities quad core Mac Pro's, which have been working fine.

However- i'm not ready to make the full switch. I need to upgrade, and am happy(ish) to spend around £2000 on a new rig, i can get an 8 core 2.8ghz mac for that money, but try as i might, i can't find a dual quad core pc. I'm happy to put the pieces together myself, i've built a few in my time, but am even struggling to find a mobo that will hold two quad cores..

am i just not looking hard enough??

    thanks.
