Dungeon Siege 2 plz help

I have a strange glitch in dungeon siege 2...
i play a while and then i come to a part when i see an old mage
attacked by dryads and he heals himself after i kill all the dryads
and talk to him he just says "please save me young man" or something like that(thats what he said before i killed the dryads)
and i cant go on with the game.

 

how far along in the game is that? I'm still on Act I and don't recall that scenario...

 

okay... got to that part...

you're supposed to talk to the old man and there will be a movie cut-away that explains the next part of the story... he'll clear a path for you and leave you some cool items...

can't imagine why you couldn't go on, unless you're playing a demo? I had no problem moving on in the game after that... you could possibly copy your saved games to disc and try to re-install the game... just remember, this is at your own risk... so don't say I didn't warn you!

sry for your trouble, i searched the web and found a solution and forgot i posted , gas powered games didnt officially fix it yet, but there is a small file that does fix it. turns out that this bug is very rare and most of the people playing the game won encounter it. thanks anyway.

 

where is this file I am having the exact same problem running through the game on veteran. Had no prob at all doing it in novice for some reason though.

 

here is the file, you should extract the file to the resources folder inside the dungeon siege 2 directory.
