dunno if this goes here but my connection is going real slow

I don't know what is going on. My wife's computer is running fine... her connection is running right where it should be... me... I'm getting speeds of .43 Yes POINT 43. IS there any way of knowing if there is stuff on my computer that could be affecting my speed? I run kaspersky and I ran Combofix but I'm still running like a damned turtle.

Your computer is probably getting filled with tons of junk.

Go to start then Run
then in Run Type %Temp%
Temp folder will pop up
then in temp folder highlight every thing
then delete.


Then go to run again and type Ipconfig /release

Then in CMD type Ipconfig /renew

Go into the wireless router settings and change the channel from whatever it is too either 11 or 6. Reboot the router. Reboot all computers.

 

I would not mess with the router settings if you do not know what you are doing.

There should be a Reset button on the back of the router if you go that rout.

Reset your modem and Router at the same time.
