You shouldnt have any problems, a faster rig wouldnt hurt.
Here is great place to purchase DVD media:

Dont buy cheap stuff or youll have problems and lot's of coasters.
Buy preminum DVD media is cheaper in the long run.
Some premium stuff is Ritek & Verbatim, and or look for branded and or media containing AZO MCC Dye, I also like AZO Great media avaible at link above.
4x & 8x best buy for your buck.

The links I posted were all US Dollars.
Most any DVD drive is avaible in black, sometimes is price differance with colors.

Buy where you like, is your money.
I have made many purchases from Newegg, great place to shop.

  9. Before I get in over my head, how hard is it to hook up an internal DVD burner anyways? Is it just like a cd rom/burner? Is there something I should be carefull about?

    Thanks in advance.

It no differnt then hooking up a CD drive or any other drive for that matter.

Just make sure you have your jumpers set correctly, all the cables connected, and your set to go.

If you buy retail, im sure the manufactior will have provided at least a simple instilation guide. That should help too...and dont forget to ask us more questions if you run into some trouble. :)
