    Hi,

I have a Pioneer 106D +/- DVD writer which has operated with no problems for over a year until last week.

Now when I try to burn any dvd's with either + or - media, they never read in any drive or player

The underside of the disks all seem to have circular layers after writing as opposed to before when they were flawless.

I have since updated the firmware to no affect.

Can you guys think of anything else?

    Cheers

    Stevie

    Any Ideas?

Have you recently changed media brand?? If so...there is alot of JUNK out there that is even labeled with a brand name, but it is still junk!! When I got my first dvd burner a few months ago...it took my 4 different brands (HP, Sony, Memorex) and finally dicovered that Maxell from walgreens was what worked for me!!!

By the way...I was having the same symptoms as you!!
