dvd burning

    i would like to make some back up of dvds i own. and can not decide what software is the easiest to use. right now i use dvd decrypter to put it on the hard drive than nero to reencode then burn. i would like to know if there is a software out there that will just make images or burn, it not all this reencoding sh*t

    unless you have a dual layer burner, most of the stuff you are trying to back up is going to have to be rencoded. You could also use dvd decrypters burn to disk feature.

    Maybe try DVD Shrink v3.2 from MG (small download)

    DVD Shrink is the best free DVD backup program I have used. It is quick and really easy to use.

    I use Shrink, it's awsome, Works great with Nero, you wont even have to open Nero, as by default it uses Nero's burning rom to burn image.
    Also it is compatitable with Decryptor.
