    alright, i just installed my dvd drive, and i downloaded a version of divx, what else will i need to play dvd's?

    Download and install a codec pack; available right here at Major geeks. Several are usually available on MG's front page (home page) or look in the multimedia downloads section. Personally, I have CodecNT 8.0 installed, and I've NEVER come across an unplayable format....
