DVD not burning

hi all,

I have win XP installed with a dvd rw and dvd rom, until recently the dvd rw burned dvd's fine i.e. copied from one dvd to another. the other day i tried to burn a movie that is stored on my hard drive (after i converted it with nero) the dvd rw draw edjected itself as soon as i clicked 'burn' and then a message saying 'fail'. I uninstalled nero, installed winavivideo converter, dvd fab plattian/gold and non of them work. can someone help me out. The dvd rw is a 'freecom+/-rw4b' and the dvd rom is a 'hitachi dvd rom GD-2500'

 

Have you tried reinstalling driver.. go to Device Manager and uninstall, then reboot and XP will allocate a fresh driver.
