DVD only works as a CD-Rom.

    as said my DVD drive. want read DVDs.

    only CD-roms. if a DVD is out in it says there are no disk in,

    how to fix. ??

    Have you got powerdvd, or Nero, or, dvd software installed.?
    If you have they might need reinstalling, if not, then it would seem that is the problem.

    Try uninstalling and reinstalling Power DVD.
    Have a look at Microsoft support at
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321641/en-us
    It is known that several cd/dvd writing programs like, InCD,.Alcohol120, and more, can cause problems.
    Try the dvd Rom in another computer, if it is possible.
